Lucky day

This afternoon I was walking near the Victoria Square.
The official site of Tour Down Under was already closed.

Team Milram's car just came back and a man waved me from the driver seat.
He was the director. We had a talk for a while. I asked him many things about the cyclists.
He let me come into the official site. There are many cyclists.
They had been having a training on the hill and just came back.
I said thank you and good bye then left there.

Soon after that I met Enrico by chance going back to his hotel.
It was such a good luck.
We had a chat for a short time and took a photo.
I was glad that I was be able to say thank you to him.

I became a fan of Enrico.
It was amazing day.

Tour Down Under 2008 Stage6 Adelaide City

I went to the city to watch the last race of the Tour Down Under 2008.
I arrived about 1 hour before the race but there were alrealy so many people...

I looked for a good place to take photos...
Then I saw some cyclists and found the car of the Team Milram.

Suddenly, one cyclist talk to me. He was very friendly and relaxed.
I asked to him many things about bike race because it was my first time to talk to professional cyclist. He told me many things about bike race. It was a good time.

His name is Enrico, and he is a very gentle German man.
We had a nice talk for a while and I was so surprised as I hadn't expected.
I didn't know why he talked to me so friendly...
Actually, I didn't realised that I had asked him a signature and taken his photo at Unley, beceuse he wasn't wearing a helmet or sunglasses.

But I undersood why when I got home and check the photo I took the other day.
He probably remembered me because there mustn't have been many people who asked a signature to a cyclist. I have seen many kids asking a signature but not so many adult... I might have looked like strange for them but that's my luck that I had a good conversation with a cyclist...

It was so interesting to watch a bike race if you know someone who join the race.
I enjoyed the race a lot more than I did in Harndorf.

Enrico talked me a little bit about the life as a cyclist and it was amaging because it was completely different the ones of ordinaly people.
During season, they travel a lot and have many races. Although I have watch bike races just few times, it was enough to understand that cylists have great mental fortitudes. During a tour, cyclists have long distance races for a several days and each race is probably 150km to 200km!!
They are amazingly strong both mentaly and physically.

I was so happy.
It was such a exciting day.

Tour Down Under 2008 Stage3 Unley to Victor Harbour

I went to Unley with the boys and father I met at Harndorf yesterday.

I looked for the cyclist from Team Milram because I bought a shirt yesterday.
I asked three cyclists' signeture!! I was excited because it was my first time.

It was about 30 minutes before the race, but the cyclists gave me sign very friendly.
They were very gentle.

They started at 11 am.
The race was from Unley to Victor Harbour. It was too far for me, so I saw just the starting.
We had a lunch at a cafe in North Adelaide. The family gave me a lift and went back to Victoria.
We promised to see next year again. It was such a wonderful meeting.

I checked about team Milram after coming home.
The cyclists who gave me sign were all German and there were just three German cyclist in the team.
I thought German people must have been kind because I asked the cyclist who looked like friendly...

I went to Stirlings this morning to watch a bike race.
There were a lot of people at the starting point.

I was so excited because it was my first time to watch a bike race.

The starting was amazing!! Every cyclists were concentrated ans their faces were so beautiful.
Then I moved to Hahndorf by bus. When I arrived, there a lot of people waiting for the cyclists.

I get a good place near the finishing point and enjoyed watching so much.

I met a lovely family as well.
After, the race I came back to city and went to the official site at the Victoria Square.
