West Beach

I went for a walk in the morning. I was a bit surprised because I'd found some Kangaroos near my house. (In fact, it's not countryside at all...)

In the evening, K and I went to West Beach to swim.

We went there yesterday as well, but I didn't bring my bathing suit so we went there again.
As it was almost 40 degrees this afternoon, there were a lot of people on the beach.

The water was so beautiful. I swam a lot.
I taught K how to swim. He didn't know how to breath in the water.
I wasn't a good teacher so a lot of water came into K's nose.

Anyway, we swam a lot until sunset time.

We saw a lovely sunset. It was such a nice evening.

Morialta Conservation Park

K took me to Morialta this afternoon.
As it was boiling hot, we gave up to stay at home.

It was just 30 minutes by car.

There were few people walking in the bush.
But we saw some people climing the rock.

There was a small creek and small waterfalls. Of course we tried the water.

As it wasn't so far from the city, it wasn't very cool.
But we enjoyed short walking. It was much better than just staying at home.

I think Adelaide is quite a lovely place to live. Because there are a lot of nice place around the city.
We can go to most of places within 30 minutes to 1 hour by car.

Bye Glenelg... and Hello my sharemate

It was a lovely wheather today.

My friend came to the beach. Her name is Martha and she comes from Taiwan.
She arrived in Glenelg after lunchtime. Martha and Esther and I walk on the beach to the south.

I took them my favourite cafe in front of beach.
We enjoyed some coffee and chatting.

It was a lovely afternoon. Many people came to the beach with their dogs and kids.

I saw a puppy in front of the cafe... So lovely...

After this, we walked on the beach to the south. We saw quite a few friendly people.

We had a pizza at an Italian cafe next to Conrad Hotel.

Then we went to our hostfamily's house to pick up my stuff.
We met another school friends on Jetty Rd by chance. They were on the beach but we hadn't met there.

I said good-bye to my hostfamily and Esther and left their house.
Then I caught a tram to the city with Martha.
Then I moved in my new share house. It was such a busy day.

Christmas in Glenelg

My friend came to Glenelg this afternoon. She visited me and also came to help my moving.
I'm moving to her share house tomorrow. So she is being my sharemate.

We met at my agent's office by chance last month. I don't visit the office often because I try to not speak Japanese as much as possible. At that day I went to the office to reported my situation at my English school. My friend came there to post her advertisement. She was looking for a new share mate.

My friend and I went out for a walk. We met Esther near Glenelg jetty.
Then we walked on the beach and met another friends by chance on the middle of jetty.

In Adelaide, I often meet my friends by chance because it is quite a small town.

I'm getting used to Christmas in summer.
It is my second Christmas in Australia. Last Chrismas, I was in Sydney but Now I'm in Adelaide.
I will be in Adelaide next Christmas as well.
I love Sydney so much but now I'm verry happy to live in Adelaide.

Christmas in Cleland

It was cool Christmas Eve. I went to Cleland this afternoon.
I caught a bus from the city acound 1 p.m. and got off at Crafers.
I had a cup of cuppccino at a cafe. It didn't look nice but the coffee was so good.

I caught a bus to Cleland Wildlife Park at 2 p.m. I was only passenger so the driver stopped for me to take some photos. He told me it was the last bus in the day and I told him I was going back on foot. He recommended me to walk on the track.

I bought one year ticket at Cleland Wildlife Park. It was $22 which is double of one day ticket.
Then I started walking around the park.
I saw a lot of wild animals such as Kangaroos, warabees, Koalas, etc.

I bought a map at the park. Then I started bushwalking from there at 16.45 p.m.

It was just a 2 kilometre from the wildklife park to Mt. Lofry Summit.
There were almost no people and no koalas (!!).
The track was well-organised so that I was able to find my way easily.
I found the sigh of Heysen Trail which I wanted to walk along.
I knew this trail but I didn't know where it is so I was very happy.
There was lovely accommodation as well.

It was such a lovely time for me to walk in the bush by myself.
Then I arrived at Mount Lofty Summt around 5.30 p.m.

As it was quite windy and cool, there were few people.
I got this view all to myself.... So happy.

I enjoy the lovely view having a cup of cuppchino.
Couples minutes later, I realised that it was Christmas Eve so I should have had a glass of wine.

It was so nice despite the cold windy weather. I stayed there more than one hour.
Then I started bushwalking again to go back to Craffers.

I walked downhill in the bush. It was such a easy walking.

After while, I arrived at the end of the track and then walk along the street towards Craffers.
One car stopped and two traveler asked me the way to Melbourne.
They had been traveling around Australia. They were going to Melbourne for Christmas.

Then I arrived at Craffers and waited for a bus. I had been waiting at 25th Bus stop.
But bus didn't come. A car stopped in front of me then the woman on the car told me that the buses to the city didn't pass that bus stop.
Probably I missed at least 2 buses. But if the woman didn't told me about it, I should have been wainting at the wrong bus stop.
(If you go to Mount Lofty by bus, you must catch a bus at No. 24 Craffers Ramp.
Not No. 25. Be carefull!!)

I caught a bus around 8:50 p.m.
Soon after I got on the bus, I told the driver about this. He enjoyed my story.
Then we had been chatting on the way until we arrived at the city.

When I arrived at the city. I was so sorry.
Because Esther had been waiting for me with Jon for more than 2 hours.
We went to a Korean restaurant and had Gamjatang.

We enjoy meal and chatting.

After dinner, they went to the midnight worship.
I went home. It was such a lovely Christmas Eve.
